    Portions of your membership contribution may have charitable tax deductibility. Members will receive their individualized tax letters in the next few days. In the meantime, the following information will give one a heads up on the relevant tax information.

    As a part of the recent dues restructure, the fair market value of membership level benefits were reassessed. The Guilds cannot provide tax advice; however, the following table is provided to assist you or your tax planner in determining your charitable contribution:

    Youth (up to age 22): Operagram newsletter and backstage tour for one during the SFO season.

    $20 – 2 backstage tours 

    Member: Membership for one individual plus the Operagram newsletter and backstage tour for two during the SFO season.

    $20 – 2 backstage tours 

    Dual: Membership for two individuals plus the Operagram newsletter and backstage tour for two during the SFO season.

    $80

    $20 – 2 backstage tours 

    Partner: Above benefits plus a Ranch Tour for two during the SFO season, and the SFO-sponsored reception to meet the Singing and Technical Apprentices.

    $100

    $20 – 2 backstage tours
    $45 – 2 Apprentice Reception
    $20 – 2 ranch tours
    $85 – max possible value of benefits received

    Donor: Above benefits plus a private backstage tour for up to six participants during the SFO season; a copy and listing in the season program book (for joins/renewals prior to April 15); and entry in a priority ticket queue for ticket orders received prior to December 31.

    Thanks to the Santa Fe Opera Guild's Membership chair for developing this table!! Generally, the amount of charitable contribution is equal to the dues level amount minus the fair market value of the benefits used

    Taos Opera Guild had its annual meeting at the Valverde Common House on September 22. Members enjoyed a pizza party while watching Luciano Pavarotti in Il Trovatore.  Special thank you to Valverde Commons member/residents Sandy Kinchen, our host, and Stephen Rose, who organized the parking.

    New officers were introduced: President-Kathy Fortner, VicePresident-Barbara Crews, Treasurer-Carolyn Haddock, Secretary-Vicky Zillioux,  Membership-Paul Neuman, Education-Ann Stillman, Communications-Bill Swan.

    October 1 begins the new membership year. Guilds Inc has increased individual memberships to $45 and Dual (Friend) memberships to $80. A Youth membership has been added @$30. All other membership categories remain the same. Guilds Inc is reviewing the tax deduction amount for the new membership structure.

    Member concierge services will be available again at eh MetLive broadcasts.
